Biography:
Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops, is a prominent member of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (XCU). He is a mutant with the ability to project powerful beams of concussive force from his eyes. These beams, unleashed uncontrollably until he dons his signature ruby-quartz visor, are the result of absorbing ambient energy and releasing it.
As a child, Scott's mutant powers manifested traumatically after a plane crash, separating him from his younger brother, Alex. He was later taken in by Charles Xavier, who became a mentor and helped him control and channel his abilities. Cyclops quickly became Xavier's first student and field leader of the X-Men.
